At a very young age, Rina Palma was greatly influenced by her stylish and fashion forward grandmothers. While growing up in California, Rina Palma was continuously encouraged to be creative and she began sketching designs for fun. Even though she knew at a very young and naïve age she wanted to become a fashion designer, her dreams never became unreal or unachievable. She found that she had creative designs and style, which eventually led her to starting her own clothing line.
After graduating high school, Rina attended Woodbury University in Burbank, California as a fashion design major. During her college education, she was able to travel to Europe, where she was deeply influenced by their fashion, and internship with Single, an upcoming fashion design company. She was involved with assisting at major fashion events, such as charity events and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Her internship and experience taught her valuable design skills and was inspiration and motivation to work even harder to reach her dreams.
In 2006 Rina Palma's creations were featured in Woodbury University's Annual Gala Fashion Show in 2006 for receiving the Travilla Scholarship, which gave her the once in a lifetime opportunity to reproduce the infamous Marilyn Monroe white dress from the movie "Seven Year Itch". The following year, Rina was featured in the magazine, Verdugo Monthly for her outstanding work and elegant collection, Parallel Universe, which was featured in Woodbury University's Gala Fashion Show for 2007. Rina Palma recently graduated from Woodbury University in 2007 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts.
Currently, Rina Palma has private clients and being known for her timeless couture designs and custom made garments; she plans to start her own company.
